I finished up a project today for the Bombshell Forum. They had a challenge called "Summer Daze". You had to make a project using summer as the theme and to make it a little bit harder you had to include one hand made embellishment. I chose to make this banner with the word "summer" on it. It was fun to make. I also used some Maya Road bingo dots which I think add a lot to this card. It's always great when I can bring two of my favorite product lines together. Onto the next project.

Learning to Copic
Hey Everybody!! Hope you are all doing well. I took a much need mini vacation for my birthday. Tammy has the best boss ever! He let us use his home in Angel Fire, NM for the weekend. It was very relaxing and we had a lot of fun and lots of laughs. One thing I did work on is practicing my Copic coloring. I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos on it and also took a basic color class at The Crafty Scrapper. These are a couple of samples I worked on. I think they came out pretty cool! I will definitely keep practicing. Copic markers are some of the best markers on the market. I'm hoping to get better at it. I have a long way to go. Lots of new projects coming up that will help me get better with these markers...till next time!

More Birthday Cards
I know its crazy! Lots of birthdays this month, but the best is yet to come..Hehehe. I made the first card using my favorite new stamps from Bombshell Stamps. It is for new friend who I'm really having a blast getting to know. She is very musical so I added this little touch to the card using the write ribbon trim which I stamped with musical notes. I really had a lot of fun making this card. The second card is for a friend of my sisters. We are going to her birthday party tonight. On this card I used several items from Maya Road which I used to enter in a drawing from Maya Road for some new ribbon trim. The items I used were the zipper trim, mini chipboard scrolls and trinket pin. Cross your fingers I would love to win this new trim.Well I better get off here and get ready for the party. Have a great weekend!!

Graphic 45 Tags
Happy 4th everybody!! I'm enjoying my long weekend. I got to work on something I've been wanting to do for awhile. I got in some Graphic 45 paper a couple weeks back and have been trying to get to it and make something with it. I have always loved this paper and the vintage look to it. I made both these tags from the Boardwalk line. On the first tag I tried out something new I saw on the Bombshell blog. I coated the paper with UTEE and heated it which gives it the crackled look. Very easy and gives your project a whole new look. The second tag is accented with alot of embellishments and ribbon trim from Maya Road. Both, Maya Road and Graphic 45, work so well together. Well off to enjoy the rest of my day off. Back to the grind tomorrow but it is a short week. Until next time.....

Birthday Cards
Happy Saturday Everybody!! I'm busy with birthdays as you can see. The first card is for my mom. Her birthday is today and I'm truely blessed to have her as my mom. I can always depend on her. We have a fun day planned for her. I did something new on her card. I used my Tim Holtz die to cut out the flowers. I used distress inks to color, stamped on it then for the new part, I coated with glossy accents. I love how it came out. The second card was for my friend Stephen. On this card I used a Bombshell Stamp which is quickly becoming one of my favorite stamp lines. Stephen has had a hard couple of weeks. He recently lost one of best friends. Jason was an amazing person so it was a huge loss. Stephen's girlfriend had a cookout out for him and it was so much fun and it was great to see him having a good time with all his friends. He has known most of his friends since childhood so its great that they have each other to lean on through this tough time. Just a reminder to live each day to the fullest....until next time
