Here's my lastest creation. I'm doing some re-arranging in my craftroom and thought I needed something new to add so I made this Create sign to put up in my room. I used a foil technique I learn on Pinterest and just went crazy with some zipper trim. All embellishments are from Maya Road and Tim Holtz. I can't wait to find that special place in my room for it. Thanks for stopping in and please let me know what you think of my new sign. I love the comments! Till next time....

Art Journal is done!!
Well here it is!! My art journal is completed. I say it's finished, but I keep picking it up and adding more to it. I started this journal to help me on my journey with Weight Watchers. I thought it would be a great tool to keep me motivated. I had a great time making it and now I can write down my thoughts for each passing week. The first pic is of the cover which I made using metal from Ten Seconds Studio and egg shells....yes! egg shells! I saw this idea on Pinterest so I thought I would give it a try. I love how it came out. I used fabric to cover the rest of the cover. All my pages are initally painted with gesso. I then used everything from stains, distress inks, paints and stamps to complete the pages. Most of the embellishments are from Tim Holtz and Maya Road. One great thing about making this journal is I was able to use up a lot of my leftovers from other projects. Well now onto the fun part...I get to fill it up with all my thoughts and secrets. LOL! Stay tuned for more projects. I already have an idea rolling around in my head.

I'm really excited! I've been working on my art journal and I love how it is all coming together. I can't wait to start writing in it. It's been fun experimenting with all the different techniques. Each page I try to do something different. I'm starting to work on some additional pages today. I hope to post those pics soon too. It's been some awesome therapy. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like what I've created. Till next time....

Birthday Cards and more Birthday cards
You can all see how I spent my Saturday morning. LOL! My dad threw one big birthday party for everyone who had a birthday in the month of April. As you can see it was a party for four family members. I tried to make each card to fit each person's personality. We had a great time and had some awesome food. On the cards I used some of my favorite products from Maya Road, Ten Seconds Studio, Cricut, and stamps from Antiquated Collection by Lisa Pace. Everybody was so excited about their cards. I guess I'm headed back to the craft room to work on some more projects. See ya soon!

Art Journal
Well everybody has been asking what I have been up to lately. I've been taking some time for myself and decided it was about time I made something for myself. So what to make? I kept getting drawn to making an art journal. I kept looking at ideas and came to the conclusion that I didn't think I could do it because I cannot draw, not even a stick figure. But the more I checked out the journal ideas the more I saw the whole idea behind making an art journal is to make it your own. With a little advice from my friend Prissy I jumped in and have started my journal. My idea behind making this journal came from when I joined Weight Watchers back in January. I wanted something to keep me motivated. I can't wait to get to the page where I get to mark down that I've lost 15lbs so far. I have family and friends who are also doing the program with me and I hope they see they each will have a special place in this journal because it's a new journey for all of us. I'm really excited how it is all coming together. I'm pulling from all elements from paper, to metal, to stamps, paints, stains, chipboard, and cardboard. It's been very entertaining and also some great therapy. I can't wait to start journaling in it. I have many more pages to make so I can't wait to show you more...stay tuned.
