More Christmas Tags

Here are some more tags I am making this season.  Lots of embossing and distress ink.  I also found a use for some of my scraps by making some mini rosettes on the first tag.  I think these tags are very simple but elegant.  They will look great on any package.  Thanks for stopping in!!

Birthday Garland

I was so excited when a friend contacted me and asked if I would make a birthday garland for her daughter's 1st birthday.  She said she had seen a few she liked on Etsy and wanted to see what I could come up with.  She sent me a few links and this is  what I created.  I took a chipboard album and sprayed with Maya mist from Maya Road.  I  then covered each piece in cardstock and using my Cricut I cut out these cute little ladybugs in various sizes.  I think what really made these ladybugs stand out is I covered them all in red German glass glitter.  I also took some jumbo bottle caps from Maya Road and backed with black crepe paper.  It all came together so well.  Carrie was so excited when she came to pick it up.  She said she liked it more than what she had seen online.  That made me very happy.  Until next time...Happy Birthday Caitlyn!!

Tags, tags and more tags

It's that time of year again and tag making has begun.  I have become known for my tags and if you receive a gift from me during Christmas it very likely you will receive a homemade tag.  Here are a few samples I am making this season.  I really love the first tag.  I will be using it on a gift for my sister-in-law.  The stamp is from Kenny K  The second tag is using the snowman die cut from Tim Holtz along with some distress inks and snow glitter.  The last tag also includes some coloring using distress inks and some awesome embellishments for Maya Road.  I will have more samples posted throughout the season.  Thanks for stopping by see ya next time!

Smeared Ink Weekly Challenge....Steampunk

Welcome back everybody!  This weeks challenge at Smeared Ink is steampunk.  I couldn't help but use one of their newest images "Steampunk Sugar Plum Fairy".  I love this stamp!  I brought in some metals elements to help with the steampunk theme.  I used some metal for her dress from Ten Seconds Studio and some spinning gears from Tim Holtz.  I am really in the middle of making up a lot of Xmas items so I included this in the mix.  I hope you like my card and please leave me a comment.  I enjoy the feedback.  Come back soon will be posting lots of new Xmas projects.

Smeared Ink New Image Release Blog Hop

Hey everybody!!  Welcome back for another blog hop sponorsed by Smeared Ink.  I'm excited about the new released images.  I got to use the Steampunk Sugar Plum Fairy.  I've started my Christmas projects and knew I had to use her in one.  I love the fact that I got to use several elements on this card.  I used paper, metal and ribbon all to complete this card.  What's really exciting is this card already has a home.  It will be traveling to New York City as you are reading this.  My sister is taking this with her on her trip to give to her boyfriend's daughter who lives there.  I love it when my projects find a home.  I'm planning on using this image a couple more times this season be sure to check back on what I create with it.

Happy Birthday Debbie!!

It's been awhile since I've blogged.  I've been super busy.  One of things I've been working on is this gift I made for my co-worker.  She celebrated the big 40!  I found this idea on Pinterest.com.  It was submitted from a blog called sistersstuff.blogspot.com.  This is my take on the idea.  Debbie loved it.  I think it came out really cute.  I used an old school box covered with scrapbook paper and used my Cricut to cut out my sign.  I just blinged it up a little so it showed Debbie's personality.  I have a feeling I will be making more of these.
