Coffee Filter Rosette Dress Form

OMG! Here it is! I have worked and worked on this. I have had this idea in my head but never knew it would take me so long. It has taken about a month to complete. I made mini rosettes out of coffee filters, it took 410 to cover this form. I initially covered the body of the form in German glass glitter and modge podged the base in old music paper. The dress itself is an old curtain shear. The rosettes I colored with Maya mist, distress stains and Staz On ink. The base of the dress is covered in pleated ribbon from Maya Road. It was a lot of work but you never know I might just make another one. Thanks for stopping by!

Trinket Shadowbox

I really like this project! I have seen Tim Holtz do several projects with his trinket boxes and have always wanted to give it a try. I initially sprayed all pieces with Maya mist then glittered all the edges. I tried to personalized each box using items from Ten Second Studio, Ranger and vintage pieces I had found in local thrift stores. I also wanted to do something a little different with the box so I attached some grunge board scrolls from Tim Holtz to the side and glittered them as well. I'm really happy how this project came out. You can't go wrong with it. It's all about making it your own.

Tri-State Fair

I know it's been awhile since my last post but life has been a little crazy. I have done some crafting and here are the items I have entered into the fair this year. First is a dress form made from coffee filters, I used Maya Mist, distress stains and inks to color. There are a total of 410 rosettes on the dress. I love it but was very time consuming. Second is my Shadowbox from Tim Holtz. I used all kinds of goodies on this project from scraps I had been saving to metal and embellishments from Ranger. The glitter just gave it that extra something. My last project is a paper mâché house I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I covered in paper in used metal from Ten Seconds Studio for the roof. This was fun to make and really like how it came out. I'm proud of all my projects. Will let you know how I do. Thanks for stopping by.

More Mother's Day Cards

Wow!  I think I'm finally done.  I got all my cards made...I hope.  LOL!!  I made these cards for my sister's boyfriend's family.  I used lots of my scraps and metal.  The metal is from Ten Seconds Studio and I can't tell you how much I love their product.  It's great quality and so easy to work with.  I hope they love their cards.  Thanks for stopping by...till next time!

Mother's Day Card

Here is another Mother's Day card I designed.  I can't decide if this one is for my mom or not.  I have a few more ideas up my sleeve so who knows.  On this card I used a lot of scraps I had been saving and made the rosettes.  I used some metal from Ten Seconds Studio along with some alcohol ink to get the color I needed for the leaves.  One of my favorite embellishments is back...I used micro beads on the tag.  I love these things and they come in all colors so the ideas are endless.  Well I got more cards to make and decide which one to give my mom.  Thanks for stopping by and come back I'm sure I will have more cards and other projects posted soon!!

Mother's Day Cards

Here's what I've been busy doing...making Mother's Day cards.  I got a special order and was asked to make each one different.  I used the same stamp but what fun it was to create a different design for each one.  I used some great products from Maya Road, October Afternoon, Provo Crafts, Ten Seconds Studio and even used some Copic markers on several of my cards.  What a special day it is to celebrate mom.  I know I'm very lucky to have a very special mom.  Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my newest creations. 

Mother's Day Canvas

I'm so excited!  This is my first mixed media canvas piece.  I made this for my mom for Mother's Day.  I hope she really likes it.  The phrase "I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life" by Abraham Lincoln.  I knew this phrase was perfect because my mom tells me daily she prays for me and my sister.  She has always wanted the best for us.  We couldn't ask for a better mother.  She has taught us so much.  I used ribbon trim and chipboard pieces from Maya Road.  My chipboard lady is from FabScraps.  I covered her in metal from Ten Seconds Studio and her skirt is made from old sewing patterns I found at the thrift store.  This was one fun project and I'm ready to do another one.  Thanks for stopping in and checking out my projects!
