It's a New Year

I cannot believe how fast time is flying. Can you believe it's 2013?! The beginning of my year didn't start out so hot. I haven't been feeling so great but I think that's finally coming to an end and I'm feeling human again. This means I haven't been in the craft room but I feel it calling me. I definitely have some ideas rolling around in my head. On a great note, I did receive an email that I have another card getting published by Scrapbooking.com. It's always great when someone else finds your work worth showcasing. I'm hoping for lots of craft time and some great projects to come out of my craft room. I've also decided to get more involved in the craft show circuit. Thanks again for everyone's support, and keep checking back for some exciting projects.

Christmas Ornaments

Wow! I have been busy. My Christmas ornaments have been very popular this season and I couldn't be happier. I think I had a large variation this year. Everything from crosses, snowmen, ceramic, bottle caps, glass and even some made from cereal boxes. One thing is for sure is that they all have a bling or glitter to them. I used stamps or floral picks to help accent each ornament. I don't know if I can pick a favorite one, I loved them all. One thing I'm really excited about is I was able to use up a lot of the supplies I already had. You know this if you are a true crafter, you have tons of supplies and scraps that are just sitting there. My goal this year was to try and use what I had, and I think I did pretty well. Thanks again for stopping by! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Mixed Media

Here are some new canvas pieces for the holidays. I'm telling you, I'm addicted to mixed media. I had these on display at one of my craft shows and got some great feed back. I see many more mixed media projects in my future and I can't wait to experiment with other elements. I hope you all have a great and blessed holiday season and thanks again for stopping by! My next posting will contain my ornaments, come back and take a look.

Craft Shows

Well I've been one little busy crafter. I was invited to participant in two craft shows this season and I had a really great time. First one was at Panhandle Surgical Hospital. We set up in the conference room and the staff was great! They actually bought up all my ornaments which was great. My second show was at the Midtown YMCA. We had quite a bit of traffic, sold some tags, ornaments and journals. It was funny I had several people ask if I local so I'm hoping that means they will be future customers. The shows were lots of hard work, but I had a lot of fun and meet some great people. Thanks again for all your support! Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Gift Buckets

OMG!! Christy Tomlinson has created a monster. I was preparing for a local craft show and I came across these buckets I bought awhile back. I tried to decided what to do with them when I thought "hey why not apply my new obsession to them, so here there are!" I think they came out great and they were really popular at my show. I pointed out that I really didn't want to make them Christmas themed because I wanted the person to be able to use it year round. I'm wondering if I should make up some more. What do you think? Thanks for stopping by!

Prissy's Birthday Card

I can't believe it's Thanksgiving already, but more importantly it's a dear friend's birthday. Prissy is a wonderful person. She is a true treasure. If you get a chance to share her friendship don't ever let it go, it is a true treasure. I made this mixed media card for her and was so happy I got to give it to her in person. I used some new stamps from Dylusions by Ranger and Bombshell Stamps to create this one of a kind pretty lady which I totally reflects Prissy's personality. On the background I used scraps of card stock, vintage music paper, gesso, acrylic paints and sparkling H2O's. I finished out my little jewel by coloring in with some Copic markers. I absolutely love this card and the person I gave it too. Well, off to do some more crafting! Happy Birthday Prissy!! So many things to be thankful for!

Fall Card

I had so much fun making this card. I took an idea from Pinterest. I picked up some fall leaves in the yard and made some rosettes. I know crazy! All ribbon trim used is by Maya Road along with the pearl trinket pins. This card is going in my own personal collection. Thanks for stopping by!
