I'm really excited about this blog hop. I recently did my first hop with Smeared and Smudged and I think I'm addicted now. If you hopped on over from Debbie's blog then you are on the right track. The start of the hop is on the Bombshell Blog if you get lost I do have the full list at the end of this entry. I recently came across Bombshell Stamps and have fallen in love with them. I try to find a reason to use them in almost all my projects. When I saw these stamps I always imagined them on canvas so when I saw this challenge I knew I had to do something with the idea floating around in my head.
I took two pieces of canvas. One is 12 x 12 and the other is 8 x 10. I used distress inks to give the sides of the canvas a vintage look. My friend Tammy helped me find this paper at Hobby Lobby which I think works great. I adhered directly onto the canvas using Modge Podge then stacked the smaller of the canvas on top. I used sea shells, pearls and wood tags, and 3D stickers for embellishments. I enlarged my Bombshell Shell stamp and glammed her up, and after adhereing her down realized she was missing something....a treasure chest! So I took a paper mache box, distress it up and adhered it and filled it up with some coins I found at the Dollar Store and made some pearl necklaces, and some colored bling dots. She truely has a chest full of jewels.
Here is a side view which shows you how I stacked my canvas and also distressed the sides. I really love how this project came out. I told the pictures does not give it justice. Thanks so much for stopping by and please let me know what you thought of my project. I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop and now onto Cheryl's blog.
