Altered Letters

Here is great gift idea.  I found this altered letter idea on Pinterest.com using foil to cover.  I added my own touch using zippers I found at my local thrift store and also made a rose out of plastic spoons.  I found this idea on Pinterest too.  On my letter "G" I used a stamp from one of my friends new stamp line called Antiquated Collection by Lisa Pace.  I think they came out cool and are very simple to make.  Thanks again for stopping by to check out my projects.

Wine Basket Tags

I thought I was done with tags, but for a friend I made a few more.  She is giving a couple wine basket away for Christmas  and wanted some fun tags.  I used stamps from Smeared Ink which includes the stamps "Steampunk Sugar Plum Fairy" and on the second tag is 'Sipping Buddy".  Both of these stamps make me laugh.  On my second tag I used a skeleton stamp for the background by Bombshell Stamps.  I think she will get a real kick out of both tags.  Thanks for stopping by.

Smeared Ink Weekly Challenge....Gothic Christmas

This weeks challenge from Smeared Ink is gothic Christmas.  I recently purchased some of their new holiday digi stamps.  I saw this idea of making a charm so I decreased the size of the same to fit my charm.  This package is for my Granny who I think will get a kick out of this digi stamp title "Drinking Buddy".  Very simple and fun to make.  I attached jump rings on them so will be very easy to attach to her key ring. Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Garland

I was so excited when a friend contacted me and asked if I would make a birthday garland for her daughter's 1st birthday.  She said she had seen a few she liked on Etsy and wanted to see what I could come up with.  She sent me a few links and this is  what I created.  I took a chipboard album and sprayed with Maya mist from Maya Road.  I  then covered each piece in cardstock and using my Cricut I cut out these cute little ladybugs in various sizes.  I think what really made these ladybugs stand out is I covered them all in red German glass glitter.  I also took some jumbo bottle caps from Maya Road and backed with black crepe paper.  It all came together so well.  Carrie was so excited when she came to pick it up.  She said she liked it more than what she had seen online.  That made me very happy.  Until next time...Happy Birthday Caitlyn!!

Tags, tags and more tags

Happy Birthday Debbie!!

It's been awhile since I've blogged.  I've been super busy.  One of things I've been working on is this gift I made for my co-worker.  She celebrated the big 40!  I found this idea on Pinterest.com.  It was submitted from a blog called sistersstuff.blogspot.com.  This is my take on the idea.  Debbie loved it.  I think it came out really cute.  I used an old school box covered with scrapbook paper and used my Cricut to cut out my sign.  I just blinged it up a little so it showed Debbie's personality.  I have a feeling I will be making more of these.

Welcome back everybody!  It's day 24 of 31 Days of Halloween.  I can't believe it!  Here is my project for today and I'm also using it as my project for this weeks Smeared Ink challenge which is "Leather and Lace" also.  When I saw this challenge I instantly knew what I wanted to do.  I had seen this idea on SplitCoastStampers.  I thought it was the coolest idea.  It shows you exactly how to take a piece of plain cardstock and create this faux leathered look.  I used a stamp from Smeared Ink "Faes" set on the front of the clutch.  I plan on using this for a girl at work who is very girly girl and fill it up with Halloween treats.  When you see the instructions for this it creates a wallet perfect for a gift card.  I doubled all the measurements so I came out with this clutch size.  Hope you like my project please let me know what you think of it.  See ya on day 25!

Day 9 of 31 Days of Halloween Blog Hop.....tag

I'm really having some fun making tags.  On today's tag I used stamps from Inkadinkado and Close To My Hear("Thiller").  The remaining embellishments are from Hobby Lobby and Recollections by Michaels.  I used a technique that I'm becoming addicted too.  I stamped the image onto my cardstock and then covered the entire piece in UTEE and heat embossed it.  It gives your image a glossy appearance.  I think it makes the tag a little elegant if that is possible.  See you all on day 10 and I can't wait for you to see it.
